The Technology of our Noise Suppression System:

In every language, human speech exhibits the typical characteristic of being modulated in a range of 0.8 Hertz to 7 Hertz. Imagine this modulation as an up and down of the speech amplitude, which forms the socalled envelope curve.

While researching and developing our noise suppression system for which a patent had been obtained we focused on recognizing human speech by its characteristic envelope curve, to isolate and extract speech from the noisy signal received, and to feed the extracted speech content to the audio output. This process gives you speech without noise!

All this is achieved by a sophisticated DSP-algorithm which is stored in flash memory an the Speech Extractor board of our LINGUA product. The system is that effective that the freqency range of the interfering noise is irrelevant. Noise may even occupy an identical range to that of the transmitted speech itself. All that matters is the typical envelope curve associated with speech!
